Brad was born in Sydney and took to photography at an early age. It was a dear hobby of his at first. He started out shooting on 35mm film then progressed to medium format then onto digital as the years past. He photographed people, cultures and landscapes around Australia and as he travelled overseas.
Brad started his career with studying architecture but this didn't realise into anything serious. After several years he found himself in the fashion industry where he made friends for life and established great relationships with few Australian fashion icons.
Eventually his creative nature and love for art took over and encouraged him to undertake studies in photography to follow his passion. As he studied he experimented with different types and styles of photography and specifically focused on portraiture. By the time Brad finished his studies he knew exactly what he wanted to do – go back to the world of fashion and create exquisite images worthy of top fashion magazines. He left his day job and set up a small studio in an artistic community of Flourmill studios in Newtown. His first clients were starting out Australian designers and fashion models.
Over 10 years in fashion industry helped him understand the garments, the needs of designers and even to contribute to the styling of the photoshoots.
Influenced by such photographers as Annie Leibovitz and Helmut Newton Brad continued to develop his own body of work. His journey started with exploration of beauty and its forms and taught him how to connect with the subject through the camera to create memorable images. He brings something personal into every picture turning clients' ideas into stories. Brad finds his inspiration in latest fashion trends, human personalities and nature.
Now Brad is working from his studio in Alexandria known as BMPHOTO cooperating with other creative talents bringing to his clients the top quality and the most cost effective photoshoots with great results. His postproduction skills and exceptional lighting techniques help him to deliver remarkable images. His ability to work with everyone and friendly nature secured relationships with fantastic Australian designers, stylists, hair and make-up artists and modelling agencies. As the result BMPHOTO can ensure total creative production services from talent and location sourcing to full creative direction.
Along with work in fashion and beauty field Brad takes assignments to photograph still life including food, products and architecture.
